Mateus Moitinho de Almeida won the Philippines Open 2007 with an average in the final of 16.23 seconds. James Benedict Cañares finished second 16.36 seconds and Chia-Wei Lu finished third 19.40 seconds. The first ever speedcubing competition in the Philippines that was attended by our top cubers and so as foreign competitors of all ages. This competition has opened the world of speedcubing in the country and created a unique community of people solving twisty puzzles.
